QuranLingo ("we", "us", the "app") helps you learn Quranic Arabic. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the app, and we never sell your personal information.
Who we are
The app is provided by Sami-Ullah Khan ("the provider"). For any privacy question or request, contact support@quran-lingo.app.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and a display name, so you can sign in and we can save your progress. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the basic profile information those services provide (name and email).
- Learning data — your lessons, review history, streaks, XP, badges, and similar progress, so the app can teach you effectively and sync across your devices.
- Social data — if you use social features, the friends you add and the duels or league activity you take part in.
- Notification token — if you enable push notifications, a device token so we can send them.
- Purchase status — whether you have an active subscription. Payments are processed by Apple or Google; we do not receive or store your card details.
We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
How we use your information
- To provide and personalise your learning experience.
- To save and sync your progress.
- To operate leagues, duels, and other social features you choose to use.
- To send notifications you have enabled.
- To manage subscriptions and keep the app secure.
Service providers
We share limited data with providers who help us run the app, only as needed:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and backend hosting (data stored in the EU).
- Apple & Google — sign-in and in-app subscription processing.
- RevenueCat — to manage subscription status.
- Google Cloud Text-to-Speech — to generate Arabic audio (word text is sent to produce audio; no account data is attached).
- Expo — to deliver push notifications.
Data retention & deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Profile → account settings). Deletion is permanent. You can also email us to request deletion.
We keep your information only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Use the in-app deletion tool or contact support@quran-lingo.app.
Children
QuranLingo is suitable for all ages, but it is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the "last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
